Caesar, Simple Substitution, and Vigenère Ciphers:
Students will learn the basics of encryption through the study of classic ciphers, including Caesar, simple substitution, and Vigenère ciphers.
Frequency and Bigram Cryptanalysis:
This section introduces students to cryptanalysis methods, such as frequency analysis and bigram analysis, for decoding encrypted messages.
Information Encoding on a Computer:
Students will understand how information is encoded on computers, a key concept in both cybersecurity and computer science.
Working in VirtualBox and VeraCrypt:
This module teaches students how to use VirtualBox and VeraCrypt, providing hands-on experience with virtual environments and encryption tools.
Result
At the end of the course, the participants will be equipped with the knowledge of cryptographic methods for information protection, the ability to implement encryption algorithms using Python, and the skills to identify and solve security issues in computer networks. They will have the capability to create and crack ciphers, use cryptographic machines, and work with virtualization tools and encrypted file containers. Ultimately, this knowledge will empower them to protect themselves and others from cyber threats
